Description

Mustard Seed (Rai/Raida) is one of the oldest spices being used for centuries. which also includes other cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. Mustard seeds are tiny, round to oval-shaped seeds that are typically about 1-2 millimetres in diameter.

Mustard seed is also used to manufacture the very popular mustard oil, widely used in the food industry. These seeds are an important ingredient in many regional cuisines. The seeds come from three different types of plants: black mustard, brown Indian mustard, and white or yellow mustard.

Musterd whole seeds add depth and zest to culinary creations globally. Known for potential health benefits, mustard’s antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties have garnered attention. This pungency is due to compounds called isothiocyanates. Mustard plants thrive in cool climates and are cultivated as winter or summer crops depending on the variety.
